Class description: A tabletop loom has movable harnesses with heddles. Changing the shed is possible by moving the shaft lever with your hand, not your feet, as in a floor loom. Learn how to measure for a warp to weave a scarf, table runner.

Julie and her family own a farm in Fines Creek, NC. In 1990, two sheep came to the Wilson family. Since then, Jehovah Raah Farm , has grown to raise Shetland sheep, Alpacas, Llamas, Angora Goats, Rabbits, and Scottish Highland Cattle. They have a cottage on the farm, called ‘The Shepherd’s Croft’  available for folks to experience ‘real’ farm life. Julie has been spinning since 1990 and has retired from 30 years of teaching high school Special Education. She has taught Beginning Spinning at SAFF  since 1996, has taught at  NYSW from 2010-2016,  teaching beginning spinning at Carolina FiberFest and Blue Ridge Fiber Festival since 2019 Julie will drop everything and meet anyone anywhere to teach them to spin! Julie is a Lendrum Spinning Wheel dealer.
