This rural unincorporated area of Haywood County North Carolina, is a throw back to a time when things were much simpler. Picturesque rolling pastures dotted with cattle and horses, classic barns, quaint churches are the normal view as you travel the winding roads. For the adventurous ones, hwy 209, is a scenic byway that will take you through national forest, over the Appalachian trail and around some very windy roads. Max Patch is a favorite for hikers. The expansive views from the top of the bald are spectacular.
