Julie Wilson has a passion for teaching. She is a retired special education teacher with over 30 years in the classroom.  But what makes her eyes sparkle with enthusiasm these days is teaching spinning lessons.  Julie has been offering spinning instruction since 1990 and is well known at the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair (SAFF) where she has been teaching beginning spinning lessons since its inception in Winston-Salem.  Her teaching experience also includes classes at the New York Sheep and Wool Festival, Friends and Fiberworks Yarn Shop, and Haywood Community College.  Julie is a Lendrum dealer and has been selling Lendrum spinning wheels and accessories since 1996.

Julie also teaches beginning knitting, weaving, and classes related to farm life with her vast experience with raising Shetland sheep, alpacas, llamas, Angora goats, Angora rabbits, Scottish Highland cattle, honey bees, chickens, and turkeys. She can cater classes to your unique needs so give her a call.

Jehovah Raah Farm houses these classes at the charming early 1900’s cottage called Shepherd’s Croft on the property or you may discuss arrangements with her for another class location.  The farm is in beautiful Fines Creek, NC where Julie lives with her husband Dan.  They have three beautiful girls, Danielle, Julianne, and Stephanie and two great son-in-laws, Corbitt and Cameron, and Graham, their grandson.
